In 1997, Tiger Woods shot -18 and won by 12 strokes.

South African Gary Player won the tournament in 1961.
Player went on to win the Masters two more times: 1974 and 1978.

Charlie Sifford, who played in the tournament in 1961.
Sifford had such an impact on Tiger’s life that Tiger named his son, Charlie Woods, after Sifford.

Woods won his fourth Masters title in 2005 and his fifth in 2019, 14 years later. He was 43 years old when he won his fifth green jacket, the second oldest to do it behind Jack Nicklaus.
