In golf, the Grand Slam is when one player wins all four majors in the same calendar year.
It has never been done.
The four majors in golf are:
- The Masters
- The PGA Championship
- The US Open
- The Open Championship (British Open)
Not only has no one ever completed the Grand Slam, but only two players in history have ever won three Majors in the same year:
- Ben Hogan in 1953 and Tiger Woods in 2000
Career Grand Slam Winners
The Career Grand Slam is when a player wins all four majors over their entire career.
The Grand Slam is so difficult to achieve that even when given multiple decades over a career to achieve it, only five professional golfers have accomplished it:
- Gene Sarazen
- Ben Hogan
- Gary Player
- Jack Nicklaus
- Tiger Woods
Jack and Tiger both did it three times!

Tiger Slam
The Tiger Slam is when a player wins all four majors consecutively but not in the same calendar year.
It is so named because Tiger Woods was the first, and only golfer to achieve this feat.
Tiger accomplished this feat over the 2000-2001 seasons by winning the 2000 US Open, the 2000 Open Championship, the 2000 PGA Championship, and the 2001 Masters.
