My goal with the website is to provide accurate, helpful information on all aspects of the game of golf.
I will only write about things that I know about.
If I don’t know enough a topic, I will learn all I can until I feel that I can provide an informational, well thought out article on the subject.
I am an avid golfer.
I have always been a fan of the sport and of watching it on TV and I have been and always will be a huge Tiger fan.
I started playing when I was 8 years old but never played much once I started high school.
Over the next 10+ years, my excuse for day drinking, I mean golf, consisted of a handful of rounds a year with some buddies.
During my late teens and early 20s I rarely broke 100 or finished a round sober.
I always wanted to play more but never had the money or the time to take it seriously and actually try to improve.
Two and a half years ago, due to a confluence of events including Covid, a job change, and finally having some extra money, my wife and I joined a local private club.
One year late we bought a house in the community, followed quickly by a golf cart, and I am now fully and completely addicted to the game of golf.
I started two years ago as a 21 handicap and ended the 2022 handicap season with a career low index of 9.8.
I broke 80 for the first (and still only) time in July of this year.
I am constantly tinkering with my swing and reading books and watching videos on golf.
I hope to fill this website with articles on all aspects of the game of golf as I learn them.
I will also be adding monthly updates as to the progress of my golf game.
My goal is to become a plus handicap by 2027.
